The Church as a Cultural Force in the City
All Church Camp October 10-12, 2008
This year our speaker will be Eric Jacobsen, the senior pastor of the First Presbyterian Church in Tacoma, Washington. He is the author of "Sidewalks in the Kingdom: New Urbanism and the Christian Faith," as well as numerous articles about the role of the Christian community in the city.
Eric earned a B.A. from U.C. Berkely and his M. Div. from Princeton Theological Seminary. He has a Ph.D. from Fuller Theologial Seminary in Theology and Culture and has served as an adjunct professor there as well as at Regent Collge. He has given lectures at a number of secular and Christian venues throughout the country and is a guest columnist for "The News Tribune." He and wife, Liz, have three children.
Registration
Registration for Forest Home All Church Conference will take place online this year, to streamline the process. Click here to register. Those without internet access will be able to pick up and complete a form or register on Sundays at a computer on campus. - July 1 - Registration begins
- September 29 - Registration deadline. All registrations paid in full. Note there is a $50 non-refundable deposit
Payment
Payment will be available online via credit card. Those who pay by credit card will also be charged the 4% processing fee that the credit card companies charge FPCH. Deposits and balances can also be paid by check. All registrations, regardless of the method of payment, will take place on the internet. Those without internet access will be able to pick up and complete a form or register on Sundays at a computer on campus.

KPs
If you are willing to help serve a meal, you can receive a reduction in your registration fee of $15 for each meal you help serve. KPs set up for meals, take care of people during the meals and clear the tables afterward. Be sure to include the number of meals you are willing to serve when you register on-line.
Accommodations
Forest Home ofeers three types of accommodations:
- Economy rooms contain bunk beds with a bathroom shared between rooms. You bring your own bedding and towels
- Standard rooms have one double bed and two or three bunk beds per room, with private bathroom but you still bring your own bedding and towels.
- The hotel-style Deluxe rooms have combinations of one, two, or three beds per room with private bathrooms, and all bed and bath linens are provided.

Check in process
Friday night - October 10
5-8 pm - arrive, drive through registration will be at the 'Check-in Kiosk' at the entrance to Forest Home. Follow the signs to 'Check in'. Remember, you will not be able to register or go to your cabins until 5pm.
6:30-7:30 pm - Buffet dinner in the dining room
Arriving late? - Go directly to Hormel Hall for the meeting at 8 pm and then pick up your registration materials afterward at the Round House.

Activities Available
Mini Golf, Trout Pond, Zip Line, Climbing Wall, Craft Room are all open and available for Saturday afternoon. Also available: ping pong, volleyball, horse shoes, bumper pool, bookstore, hiking and the most important of all - taking a nap under a tree.
Special Needs
If you have special dietary or physical needs due to a disability, please let us know so that accommodations can be provided. Handicap friendly cabins are limited at Forest Home.
Children
There will be nursery care for infants and programs for children 2 years through 6th grade on Friday and Saturday evenings and Saturday & Sunday mornings. The cost is included in your conference fees. Further details will be given that weekend.
New Program for Teens
There will be a separate youth program this year, led by Jason Blandford, filled with worship, teaching, hiking and plenty of fun activities. The youth will meet in Black Bear Lodgge while the adults are in Hormel Hall. Call Jason at x268 for more details. Students should registere with their parents or another responsible adult that will supervise them.

Directions from Los Angeles:
Take the 210 E for approximately 30 miles. Continue on CA-30 E. Exit to gt on the I-10 at University Street. Turn left on University and go to the first stoplight and turn right on Highway 38 (Lugonia).
Go 13.1 miles to the Forest Falls turn-off (Lugonia becomes Mill Creek. It is 6.1 miles from the Mill Creek Hanger Station to the Forest Falls turn-off). Turn right on Valley of the Falls Drive, go 2 miles to Forest Home. It is 86 miles from the church doorstep to the Club House.
